Synopsis of the Play

On a visit to New York, the Pope decides to swap his personal limousine for a taxi, without notifying his security detail. This humble decision evolves into an unexpected turn of events. he Pope finds himself hostage in the home of Jewish taxi driver Samuel Leibowitz, demanding a very special ransom: One Day of World Peace.
