Refresher course for parents
Time flies, but now time is moving *really* fast. In just one minute, you find yourself in a world you barely recognize. A place full of 6-7 memes you don’t understand, brain-rotting videos that make your head spin, and AI that confuses what is real from what is fake. Children fly through this like superheroes, while parents stumble their way through it.
In *Become an Online Hero*, parents receive a refresher course provided by eight children from Amsterdam East. As superheroes, they take over the stage and guide adults through this chaotic online world. They show what happens behind the screen, why some videos are so addictive, how online jokes can get out of hand, and where boundaries blur.
The performance is an invitation to look together and learn to understand each other’s world through curiosity. In a world that moves ever faster, it is the next generations who take us along and answer questions. This time, it is up to the adults to show that they are never too old to learn! Become an Online Hero is a theatre performance in which children, together with actors, educate parents online.
