In a minute\, you're already in a world you barely recognize. A place full of 6-7 memes you don't understand\, brain-rotting videos that make your head spin\, and AI that confuses real and fake. Children fly through this like superheroes\, while parents stumble their way through it.\n\nIn Become an Online Hero\, parents receive further education\, taught by eight children from Amsterdam-East. Like superheroes\, they take over the stage and guide adults through this chaotic online world. They show what happens behind the scenes\, why some videos are so addictive\, how online jokes can go wrong\, and where boundaries blur.\n\nThe performance is an invitation to watch together and learn to understand each other's world through curiosity. In a world that's moving ever faster\, it's the next generations who are leading us and answering questions. This time\, it's up to adults to show that they're never too old to learn! "Become an Online Hero" is a theatrical performance in which children\, along with actors\, provide online training for parents.\n\nNL:\n\nWord een Online Held\nEen theatrale ontdekkingstocht over de digitale wereld. \n\n\n Wanneer:\nVrijdag 24 april – 19:00 \n\n\nBijscholing voor ouders\n\n\n\nTijd gaat snel\, maar nu gaat de tijd écht snel. In een minuut sta je al in een wereld die je nauwelijks herkent. Een plek vol 6-7 memes die je niet begrijpt\, brainrot-video’s waar je hoofd van duizelt en AI die wat echt en nep is door elkaar haalt. Kinderen vliegen hier als superhelden doorheen\, terwijl ouders hier al struikelend hun weg in zoeken. \n\n\n\n\nIn Word een Online Held krijgen ouders bijscholing\, gegeven door acht kinderen uit Amsterdam-Oost. Als superhelden nemen zij het podium over en gidsen volwassenen door deze chaotische online wereld. Ze laten zien wat er achter het scherm gebeurt\, waarom sommige video’s zo verslavend zijn\, hoe online grapjes kunnen ontsporen en waar grenzen vervagen. \n\n\n\nDe voorstelling is een uitnodiging om samen te kijken en elkaars wereld te leren begrijpen vanuit nieuwsgierigheid. In een wereld die steeds sneller beweegt\, zijn het de volgende generaties die ons meenemen en vragen beantwoorden. SUMMARY:Coming on May 25th: exchange with EYT Brussels William Golding\, 'Lord of the Flies' in the Badhuistheater.
DESCRIPTION:Lord of the Flies\, by William Golding \n\nAdapated for the stage by Nigel Williams \nDirected by Glenn Vaughan \nA plane carrying a group of school children crash lands on a deserted island. With no adult survivors\, the kids are forced to fend for themselves. At first they cooperate\, but when they split into two separate camps\, their society falls into disarray\, leading to a disturbing examination of human nature and a chilling conclusion. \nThe cast ( 17 till 22 years)  of 14 was selected from 37 auditionees\, and specifically chosen for their work ethic\, commitment\, ability to work in a team and acting ability. Some of the actors are EYT veterans who’ve gathered lots of experience\, and others are in their first year at EYT but have shown great promise and performance skills!

SUMMARY:May 5th: 'More War'
DESCRIPTION:On May the 5th\, it is Liberation Day in the Netherlands\,  BadhuisInternational performed their open air show ‘More War’. An Absurd Satire with Music and dance .Combining  theater with a space for a discussion about freedom & democracy on this special  liberation day for the Dutch \,after the years of  fascist occupation 80 years ago. \n‘More War’ will be performed on the theater terrace of the Badhuistheater. Cafe owner Rene from the series ‘Allo Allo’ finds himself in 2024. The second world war has just finished\, but the third world war is on the brink of starting.. This cross-over show between the bizarre world of the famous series mixes the bizarre world we are currently living in. A satirical musical comedy. During the show there will also be musical performances.\nBadhuistheater holds  weekly workshops with new young Teachers
