He joined the Moscow Arts theater as a dramatist\, and had great success\, before being “cancelled” for Non Sovjet-sympathetic literature. Almost nothing was printed of his work in his lifetime. \nBulgakov’s revenge is a comic satire he wrote in secret\, based on his frustrations and treatment by the old Stanislavski Moscow Arts Theatre; still run by Konstantin Stanislavski himself\, till his death in 1938. \n  \nVideoshortcut here:
